3 Body-Based Techniques to Create Trust, Call Out a Liar, and Change a False Belief

This week I thought I’d do something slightly different.

I thought I’d share three body-based techniques I use in my sessions all the time… and share how you can use them in your own life.

All of them are powerful techniques you can use to create trust, shift beliefs in yourself and others, and call out an unconscious (or conscious) lie.

Before I share them with you, I need you to agree to something.

One of the most common questions I get is, “What is Core Energetics?”

The simplest answer is, Core Energetics is a somatic therapeutic modality. In simple terms, Core Energetics is a type of body-based psychotherapy.

It’s very similar to traditional talk therapy in some ways. The Core Energetics therapist and client sit down and talk about what’s going on in the client’s life.

But the big difference between talk therapy and Core comes down to one belief:

Most of the “work” that needs to be done to find freedom is to release old energetic patterns stored in the body.

I grew up in Copenhagen, Denmark. My family was a split family after my parents divorced when I was about 13. My dad was a good person and provided well for us, but he was emotionally cut off. He was emotionally unavailable. Partly because he came out of a broken family himself, he was only 21 when he had me, and basically moved from his family’s house to living with my mother.
